Well, here it is all put together. I was so surprised that it traveled so well. The road was BEYOND bumpy and I was afraid they would be in pieces by the time I got there. Everyone LOVED the cake and didn't want to cut it. It was worth all the extra time and effort and the bride and groom were very happy. Now I just have a small birthday cake to do for this weekend for a dear friend's little girl. She's having a pool party. Time to put on the thinking cap!
The final product is beautiful! I absolutely love the idea of the fireman climbing the ladder to save his bride! Was that your idea? Cute!
ReplyDeleteThe cake came out great! Good job putting it together! I can only imagine how slow you drove on the way there...I would have. I can't wait to see the ocean birthday cake. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed! I love how each layer had a theme and the details were simply perfect. You are very talented!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!! This cake is amazing. I am in awe that you spent so much time put together this cake. I never realized it took so long. Well done! The final product looked amazing, and I'm with the guests it looks too good to eat. I love the different themes and how it incorporated the brides and grooms shared interests and hobbies!
ReplyDeleteBecca, I wish the fireman was my idea but it came as part of the cake topper! Pretty cool though. Thanks everyone for the compliments. It was a huge project, but I have to admit that I enjoyed it.
